The Harmony of the Seas, the 3rd of the Oasis Class ships by Royal Caribbean, had its maiden voyage in May of 2016.

It is one of the largest ships in the world, carrying just under 5,500 passengers.

Accommodation Choices:

This ship offers a wide range of stateroom options for you. You can get a solo cabin if you are a single traveler. This is great because you won’t have to pay the single supplement fee.

You can get either an interior or an ocean view studio room. You can also get the normal interior, ocean view, balcony, junior suite, and suite type rooms.

Some unique options are the virtual balcony rooms. You can also get interior rooms that have a view of the promenade or central park.

If you want a balcony room, you have several options to choose. You can have a balcony that overlooks Central Park or the Boardwalk areas. This is great if you enjoy people watching away from the crowds.

Want a suite that is unique. You can enjoy a suite that overlooks the Aqua Theater so you can enjoy all of the shows right from the comfort of your private balcony.

There are also several loft suites for you to enjoy. No matter what type of room you are looking for, Harmony of the Seas has you covered.

Activities on Harmony of the Seas:

Adventure Ocean Kid’s Club:

There is a lot to do at the kid’s club during the cruise. The Kid’s Club is divided into three different themed areas for each age group to enjoy.

The areas are the Aquanauts (3-5), Explorers (6-8), and Voyagers (9-11). The kids will get to do fun science and art activities. It also features a private movie theater just for them.

Please note: Your child needs to be potty trained in order to participate in the kid’s club.

There is also a nursery area, Royal Babies & Tots (6-36 months), where you can pay an additional cost for babysitting services.

Teen Areas:

The teens are broken up into two groups, ages 12-14 and ages 15-17, to enjoy the areas in their own way.

The Living Room:

This is the private, teens area where they can relax and unwind together. It features an area where they can watch movies. There are also several video game consoles that they can use.

Fuel Teen Disco:

The private dance club for the teens to dance the night away. This venue is open most evenings until 2am. The DJ will be there to play the music.

It features plenty of seating, a dance floor, and a bar where they can enjoy the various mocktails (non-alcoholic drinks).

It is a great way for the teenagers to have their own nightclub experience in a safe and supervised way.

The Back Deck:

This is the outside area that is exclusive for teens. They can hang out together outside enjoying the views.

Pool Deck Area:

There are three pools for you to choose between. The main pool is a deeper pool where you can take a dip and enjoy the sun.

This area also features hot tubs for you to soak in. The beach pool has a sloped entry so you can enjoy it without getting completely soaked. Please note: this is the only salt water pool on the ship.

Finally, the sports pool. This features several events such as pool volleyball and pool basketball games.

If you have little ones then you will love to spend time at Splashaway Bay. This features its own small water slides and water features for them to enjoy.

There are also life jackets available for the kiddos to use.

Solarium:

This is a three-story venue is for guests 16 years of age and older. It is right at the front of the ship so you will get incredible views while you relax on one of the many lounge chairs.

There are also several hot tubs and a full-service bar where you can order drinks. If you want a quiet place to unwind away from the kids, this is it.

Please note: Unlike its sister ships, Harmony of the Seas does not have a pool in this area.

The Sports Court:

This is the area where you can go if you want to be more active while on the ship. You can practice your skills at several different sports including basketball.

Fitness Center:

The fitness center has all of the machines and weights that you need to keep you in shape during your cruise. The professional trainers and guided classes give you greater flexibility in your workout options.

There is also a running track that circles around part of deck 5 if you prefer that over a treadmill.

Pro Tip: There are seats outside where the running track is that give you an amazing view. It doesn’t get crowded, so if you are looking for a quiet spot to relax then check this area out.

Vitality at Sea Spa:

The perfect place to relax after a long day in port. Make a reservation for one of the spa treatments or salon services that they provide.

They also have the thermal spa area where you can relax in the different steam rooms and dry saunas. You can buy day passes to enjoy the area as much as you want.

On Air:

This is where you can spend the evening doing Karaoke with your friends, or just sit back and watch others.

They also feature other activities during the cruise such as Bingo and other game show type games.

Casino Royale:

This is a huge casino with all of the different game tables and slot machines. They pretty much every type of table game you could want.

Arcades (additional cost):

There are several arcades throughout the ship for your family to enjoy. They feature all of the most popular games, ski ball, and prize machines.

Escape the Rubicon (additional cost):

Work together with your team to solve puzzles and clues to escape the room before the time runs out.

The Shops:

There are many stores around the ship where you can buy souvenirs, jewelry, clothing, as well as any essential items you forgot to pack.

Throughout the Ship:

There are many activities for you to enjoy throughout the ship such as the Boardwalk Carousel, two rock climbing walls, two cantilevered whirl pools, a mini-golf course, and a zip line.

There are also two Flowriders (surfing & boogie boarding), three water slides (The Perfect Storm), and a 10-story dry slide (The Ultimate Abyss).

If you are looking for a more relaxing area, you will find the card room, Seven Hearts. It features books, games, and computers for you to use.

During the day there will be a wide variety of activities that you can enjoy around the ship.

Entertainment Options:

Royal Theater:

The Royal Theater is where they show the large, Broadway-style productions. Currently, this includes the full Broadway production of Grease, The Musical.

You can also enjoy Columbus, The Musical which is a satire about the life Christopher Columbus’ distant cousin, Marvin.

You will also have the opportunity to see several other headline entertainers throughout your cruise.

Aqua Theater:

This theater features fabulous water shows for you to enjoy. Currently, they are running the show The Fine Line which features high diving, aerial acrobatics, and high energy dancing.

You can also enjoy other outdoor events, and movies, in this area throughout the cruise. If you sit in the first two or three rows, be prepared to get soaked.

Pro Tip: If you want to get a better seat for the shows in both of the theaters, make a reservation.

Attic Lounge:

This lounge is where you will find many of the comedians throughout the cruise. If you love to have some drinks at a comedy club, then this is a great one to check out.

Dazzles Lounge:

This is a two-story lounge where you can dance the night away to live performances.

If you are looking for a more upscale nightclub experience then this is the place for you. It has a great view overlooking the Boardwalk area.

Jazz on 4:

This spot is where you can relax, unwind, and enjoy some smooth jazz music.

Pro Tip: This is a great spot during the day to hide away and enjoy some quiet time. If there are no activities or private events going on, it is usually pretty empty so you can just relax away from the crowds.

Diamond Club (Restricted Access):

This is a private lounge for Diamond & Diamond Plus Crown Anchor Members to enjoy during the cruise.

It offers complimentary, continental breakfast in the morning and an open bar in the evenings.

Studio B:

Studio B is where all of the ice shows take place. Currently, they are running the show 1887. The show happens several nights during the cruise.

During certain hours, this is where you can come with the family to ice skate.

Boleros Lounge:

This is a very popular spot on the ship at night. It is a Latin lounge where you can enjoy live music, dancing, and their signature mojitos.

As well as, a variety of other cocktails on the menu. During the day they offer different dance classes. This allows you to learn and practice during the day and then show off your moves at night.

Boot & Bonnet Pub:

This is an English pub where you can choose from a large selection of beers, both on tap and bottled. They also feature live music and performances for you to enjoy.

Rising Tide Bar:

This is a unique bar that is a great spot to people watch while enjoying your favorite cocktail. The platform slowly moves up and down between the Royal Promenade (deck 5) and Central Park (deck 8).

Bionic Bar:

This is a unique, futuristic bar where you place your drink order on an iPad and then watch as one of the robotic bartenders makes and serves it to you.

Schooner Bar:

You can enjoy your drink while listening to some live entertainment in this nautically themed bar. If you are looking for the piano bar, this is it.

This bar overlooks the Promenade so it is also a great spot to do some people watching.

Pro Tip: This bar is a great spot to get a good view of the various parades that happen along the Promenade. You can relax with a drink while you watch it go by down below.

Vintages Wine Bar:

This is the place to go if you love wine. They have a wide variety of options for you to choose. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day in port.

You can buy a glass of wine or enjoy one of the wine tastings that they feature throughout the cruise.

Trellis Bar:

Enjoy a delicious cocktail while relaxing in the Central Park area of the ship. If you want a quiet place to chill out and chat with friends, then this is a great option for you to consider.

Various Pool Bars:

There are several different bars found along the pool deck outside. No matter where you are enjoying your time, you shouldn’t be too far away from one.

Pro Tip: In the evening, Central Park is all lit up and has live music for you to enjoy. It’s a great place to grab a drink and enjoy the atmosphere away from all of the crowds.

Dining Options:

Now we get to our favorite part of any cruise experience, the food. There are many different dining options that you can enjoy on Harmony of the Seas.

Main Dining Rooms:

The 3-story main dining room is open for breakfast every day. You can also enjoy a nice sit-down lunch on sea days.

For dinner, you either choose the traditional, set time dining or my time, flexible dining option.

Each level has a different name and design scheme. The three dining rooms include Silk, The Grande Restaurant, and American Icon Grill.

Pro Tip: If you chose to do the flexible, my time dining we still recommend that you make a reservation to guarantee you don’t have a long wait.

Windjammer Marketplace:

This is the buffet area on the ship that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can get the typical buffet fare and some more unique options such as the crepe station.

Boardwalk Dog House:

Found in the Boardwalk area of the ship, you can enjoy a classic hot dog, or sausage, with all of the toppings you could want.

Mini Bites:

This venue features different quick bite options throughout the day. The complimentary breakfast options include made-to-order omelets.

There will be a variety of different snack options for you to choose during the day such hamburgers, hot dogs, and nachos. As well as desserts that you can enjoy.

Park Café:

This café is open for both breakfast and lunch. You can find freshly made baked goods, salads, sandwiches, and amazing dessert options.

Pro Tip: This is a great alternative to the buffet for breakfast or lunch. It is less crowded and you can sit outside and enjoy the Central Park area of the ship.

Café Promenade:

This café serves complimentary breakfast options such as pastries. Throughout the rest of the day you will find snacks and sandwiches for you to enjoy at no cost.

You can also order specialty coffees, at an additional cost.

Vitality Café:

This café offers healthier snack and beverage options for you to enjoy. Whether you want some fresh fruit, granola, or wraps they are all complimentary for you to enjoy.

There are also several smoothie options that you can get at an additional cost.

Solarium Bistro:

This offers healthier food options for you to enjoy throughout the day. They are served buffet style for breakfast and lunch (only certain days) and as a sit-down meal for dinner (reservation required).

There are a few tables and chairs outside of the bistro so you can enjoy your meals alfresco if you prefer. Great for when you want to enjoy the nice weather and scenery while you eat.

Sorrento’s Pizzeria:

This is a sit-down venue where they freshly make pizzas for you. You can also choose other items such as salads and pasta.

Many people think this is a specialty restaurant, but it’s not. It is included the price of your cruise. The venue is open for lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks.

Coastal Kitchen (Exclusive Venue):

The Coastal Kitchen is a private dining venue for Grand Suite & above guests and Pinnacle Club Members only.

It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At dinner, it is available for mini-suite guests to use as well.

Room Service:

Most of the items on the menu are included in the cost of your cruise. However, there are some that you pay an extra fee for so you want to pay close attention to the menu when ordering.

You can also have breakfast delivered to your room in the morning if you want to sleep in and have a lazy start to your day.

Specialty Dining Options:

Starbucks:

Need your Starbucks fix? No worries, you can enjoy all of your favorite beverages while on your cruise.

Johnny Rockets:

If you want to enjoy some delicious burgers, fries, and shakes while people watching, this is the place to do it. On most days, they also feature a complimentary breakfast that you can get.

Check the schedule to see when it is available on your cruise. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating. This is a great place to eat while people watching in the Boardwalk area.

Izumi Hibachi & Sushi:

This is a great Japanese restaurant that features the communal hibachi tables. You can also go in and enjoy some fresh sushi and noodle bowls.

Wonderland:

This restaurant is inspired by Alice in Wonderland. It features unique, whimsical décor elements. The food is both creative and delicious.

Sabor:

This is a casual style restaurant that features fresh Mexican food. As well as, house Margaritas and Mexican beer for you to enjoy.

Jamie’s Italian:

This is celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver’s, restaurant the features both indoor and alfresco seating options. It’s has a casual atmosphere.

The restaurant features some shareable appetizers that you can try. The pastas are made fresh, in-house every day.

If you love Italian food, then you will definitely want to check this venue out.

Chops Grille:

This is a high-end steakhouse where you will enjoy steaks, side dishes, and dessert. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating for you to choose.

It is in the Central Park area of the ship so you will be able to enjoy a relaxing, quiet meal no matter where you sit.

150 Central Park:

This is an elegant, fine-dining experience that is the perfect place for a romantic dinner or special occasion meal. They focus on locally-sourced and farm-to-ship cuisine.

Pro Tip: A great way to save money on specialty dining is to buy one of the dining packages. Keep an eye out for deals on the packages before your cruise to save even more money.
